Direct Debit At Hammond Opticians we are considerate of the personal circumstances of our patients. We always endeavour to offer the best eye care combined with flexible payment options so that you can have convenient and uncompromised eye care.

There are three standard payment schemes available, but we can also provide alternatives schemes for light users with reduced rates on purchase. Our flexible schemes can also be adapted to include lenses and solutions.

Scheme 1: Monthly Payment Scheme – Non Contact Lenses £11.95, (£10.95 for concessions) The monthly payment scheme has no joining fee and entitles the patient to:

• Free use of our service

• Free accidental damage cover for your spectacles*

• Regular eye exams (as many as reasonably required)

• 20-40% discount on our range of spectacle frames, lenses and sunglasses

• 10% discount on our range of accessories, solutions and sundries

Scheme 2: Monthly Payment Scheme – Contact Lenses £12.00 The monthly payment scheme has no joining fee and entitles the patient to:

• Treatment for contact lens related work

• A discounted rate on eye tests

• Discounts on contact lenses

• Discounts on glasses

• 10% discount on our range of accessories, solutions and sundries

Scheme 3: Eye Care Plus £18.50 The monthly payment scheme has no joining fee and entitles the patient to:

• Free use of our service

• Free accidental damage cover for your spectacles*

• Regular eye exams (as many as reasonably required)

• Treatment for contact lens related work

• 20-40% discount on our range of spectacle frames, lenses and sunglasses

• 10% discount on our range of accessories, solutions and sundries

NHS Entitlement:

You qualify for a free NHS-funded sight test if:

you’re under 16
you’re under 19 and in full-time education
you’re 60 or over
you’re registered as blind or partially sighted
you’ve been diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma.
you’re 40 or over, and your mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter has been diagnosed with glaucoma
you’ve been advised by an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) that you’re at risk of glaucoma
you’re a prisoner on leave from prison
you’re eligible for an NHS complex lens voucher – your optometrist (optician) can advise you about your entitlement

You’re also entitled to a free NHS sight test if you:

receive Income Support
receive Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (not Contribution-based)
receive Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
receive Income-based Employment and Support Allowance (not Contribution-based)
are entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate
are named on a valid NHS certificate for full help with health costs (HC2)
If you’re named on an NHS certificate for partial help with health costs (HC3), you may get some help towards the cost of your sight test
